Mr.Mondher Chaaben
Lecturer Mondher Chaaben has been teaching EFL and Applied Linguistics courses for over 16 years. He holds a Master’s Degree in Theoretical and Applied linguistics and a PhD in Linguistics from the Faculty of Letters and Humanities of Sfax, Tunisia. He has recently obtained a certificate in TESOL Methods from the American English Institute at the University of Oregon. He has also worked as an online consultant for TutorABC Group which is based in Taipei, Taiwan.
Mondher participated in several international conferences and attended various training programs focusing on educational sciences and the use of technology in instruction. His research interests include First and Second Language Acquisition, TEFL, TEYL, Teaching Methodology, Writing Across the Curriculum and Transfer of Learning. He can speak Arabic, French and English fluently and enjoys travelling and discovering new cultures.
Mr.Ahmed Abdelaziz
Lecturer Mr. Ahmed Abdelaziz graduated from Jersey City State College, NJ, USA with a Bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics in 1998 .In 2001, He earned his Master in Mathematics and Education from New Jersey City University, NJ, USA.
Mr.Ahmed has eighteen years of teaching experience in High school & College level as well. He taught pre-Algebra up to Calculus course throughout his teaching journey. He had much to offer any school he should become a member of. He continually worked to bring out the best of each of his students. He is an extremely hard worker who thrives off students’ success.
Based on the teaching strategies he implemented within the math department. He focused on major aspects: Analyze and generalize. Model the world around them. Make judgments based on evidence and reasoning. Use discussion to hone and refine their thinking.
Following that, in 2009, his interest in UAE began as a Math faculty at HCT (Higher Colleges of Technology), Al-Ain in Foundation, Business, IT and general studies departments for six years (2009-2015).
Mr.Ahmed has a talent for engaging ESL students who has language barriers and making even the most disinterested look forward to his class.
Mr.Ahmed believed that teaching techniques and assessments should be varied to account for different mathematical concepts, different learning styles, and individual strengths and interests, Mr.Ahmed believed in using technology will enhance the learning process, Also he thinks that Technology should infuse and inform all our courses through exploration, visualization, generalization, verification, and synthesis. Learning by Doing is a trend that was incorporated in his classes at HCT and felt that learning is fun and interesting if it is incorporated with real life examples.
