Ms.Arij Yehya
Teaching Assistant I will be working as a Teaching assistant for the course Univ 100 in the Core Curriculum Program. Prior to this, I worked in Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar as a Senior Research Coordinator. I conducted research on mental health, stress, job satisfaction and metabolic syndrome. I also assisted in translating and validating scales for suicide, depression, dementia and schizophrenia. In collaboration with psychiatrists in Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar and Hamad Medical Coorportation, I have couple of articles published in peer-reviewed international journals and several others submitted for publication. I presented in many local and regional conferences.
I hold a Masters and a Bachelors in Psychology from the American University of Beirut. My thesis for the former was on social neuroscience where I compared implicit and explicit attitudes and observed their effect on behavior. During my graduate years, I taught several courses such as introduction to psychology, research methods, statistics for social sciences and SPSS.
