AL-Bairaq team used a pre-post test to evaluate students knowledge and attitude towards research. Analysis revealed a significant improvement in some aspects, especially related to personal attitude, and in trends towards scientific research as well as in self-confidence. The program has resulted in:
- Obvious improvement in the capacity and skills of participating students in research. All students tested a hypothesis and tried to solve a scientific problem.
- Increase in the understanding and use of sophisticated tools and modern equipment. Post tests showed that 87.2% of the students definedthe equipment functions in the end of the period.
- Increased ability of high school students to design a scientific research plan. Posts test showed 84% could identify necessary actions for implementation.
- Increase in the ability of students to take responsibilities for their own learning.
Conclusion:
Based on the survey of the teaching staff, the impact of the program was sustained with the students for considerable time , and helped increase self-confidence, skills in research, desire to learn , and to specialize in natural sciences.

Results:
The effects of AL-Bairaq on the secondary school students are supported by the results of a research which was carried out in Qatar as they concluded that advanced learning environment resulted in the improvement of the students’ ability to acquire and retain new knowledge. Furthermore, advanced learning environment had direct positive impact on students’ attitude towards research and students gained positive attitude towards work as well.
