Innovation and Intellectual Property
The Innovation and Intellectual Property (IIP) is the technology transfer office for Qatar University. Its main mission is to protect the intellectual property Rights (IPRs) rights of Qatar University’s researchers and innovators.
Our inwardness mission is to crystallize the inventions of Qatar University (QU) to pertain with the industry for the benefit of the university, community, and global society with a meticulous plan of profit and revenue. Our main strategic goal is creating a strong Intellectual property infrastructure and processes at QU adapted to modern requirements.
IIP strives to increase the awareness of intellectual property rights (IP) within QU and in the community through workshops, seminars, lectures, conferences, etc. Also, it supports and facilitates registering IIP in collaborations with other stakeholder (e.g. Ministry of Trade and Business, Qatar Foundation, etc.).
